Looking to add an extra kick of confidence to your everyday attire? Whether you're trying to find a style that is true to you or you're looking to spice yours up a bit, I've got a few tips that will have you strutting the high school hallways in no time.

I am a strong believer in the "look good, feel good" motto and therefore, I'm more than willing to spread a bit of my fashion knowledge to anyone who's in need of a little help. First thing you should do before the big first day is take a shopping trip (I know shopping can be a bit overwhelming and exhausting at times, but just bear with me). Always go into a trip knowing what you're looking for; I can't stress enough how much this helps. Not only can it save time, but can also keep you from wasting money on those 8 t-shirts that you absolutely do not need. Pick up a few staples items like a denim jacket, a flannel, and a pair of your favorite wash of jeans.

My next tip is to invest in items that flatter you, your figure, skin tone, hair color, etc. There are plenty of articles out there dealing with matching colors and styles to those features. Having dark hair, pale skin, and green eyes myself, I find that the colors red, black, and green suit me best.

Last but not least, wear what you feel comfortable and confident in. If you like the pastel purple skinny jeans, but they are not considered "trendy", get them anyways and make a statement. I tend to gravitate towards the current trends, but often times find myself looking for ways to be different and unique. I want to be bold. I dare to be different. So, on your next shopping excursion, experiment with different looks and don’t let anyone hold you back. The price tag is the limit!
